Ceyda is a Turkish language teacher with an interest in modern Turkish literature, empowerment of women in the Middle East, education system of girls in the Ottoman Empire, and female NGOs in Turkey. Her current research focuses on the education activities of early women organizations in the Ottoman Empire during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Before coming to OSU, she taught Turkish language courses in Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced levels at UCLA for seven years.
