Zahra is a doctoral student specializing in Persian and Arabic literature. She graduated from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad with a Masters in Persian Language and Literature- Comparative Literature. For her master’s thesis, she edited the 13th century manuscript called “Qurrat al Ayn, book of proverbs,” one of the classical Persian texts which compares Persian proverbs with Arabic proverbs and Quran verses. The text contains historical and literary anecdotes using those proverbs and Quran verses. Her revisions to “Qurrat al Ayn” have been published as a book in 2019. This new edition contains some new proverbs and anecdotes, along with practical indexes in order to ease the searching process for the reader.
She hopes her doctoral research will focus on a topic in philological and historical areas in Arabic and Persian Literature.
