Parvaneh Hosseini earned her Ph.D. from the School of Middle Eastern and North African Studies at the University of Arizona and holds a master’s degree in education from Alzahra University in Tehran. Her dissertation examined questions of women, gender, and sexuality in the context of Iranian women’s sports. Her broader research and teaching interests include gender studies, cultural anthropology, literature, and art in the Middle East, specifically Iran.
