Sarah Schellinger's "Nubia" to be Subject of Upcoming Lectures

Dr. Sarah Schellinger's book Nubia in the Lost Civilizations series published by Reaktion Books provides an accessible history of Nubia from prehistory to present-day Sudan. 
 
The book has recently been in talks of having an Arabic translation, after being translated into Simplified Chinese and sold now in China.
 
She will be presenting her work on cultural connections between Nubia and its neighbors to the Archaeological Institute of America, Toledo chapter on November 21. Schellinger will also be presenting at a symposium for the exhibition The World Between: Egypt and Nubia in Africa at The Fralin Museum of Art at the University of Virginia in February 2026.
