NELC Persian Language Coordinator Publishes New Book on contemporary Persian novels and short stories

Essays on Iranian Modern Fiction by Dr. Mehrak Kamali has recently been published in Persian. The book is a body of writings about contemporary Persian novels and short stories. The essays look at how people, ideas, and social challenges are represented in post-1979-revolution Persian fiction. In seventeen critical essays of the book, Mehrak Kamali sees literary narratives as integrated and independent phenomena connected to Iranian society.

Dr. Kamali teaches courses in Persian Language, Literature, and Cultures in the Department of Near Eastern languages and Cultures at OSU.
