What Can We Know About the Historical Muhammad? New Approaches and Methods with Dr. Sean Anthony
New approaches to the study of early Islam, late antique Arabia, and the textual history of the Qur’an have recently produced breakthroughs that have breathed new life into the study of the historical Muhammad. Prof. Anthony’s talk explores some of these breakthroughs and discusses how they have the potential to transform how historians understand the rise of Islam and life its founding prophet.
