Fundamentals of grammar and reading in ancient Near Eastern languages (e.g. Egyptian, Coptic, Sumerian, Babylonian, Northwest Semitic dialects, Syriac).
Prereq: Knowledge of a Semitic language, or permission of instructor. Repeatable to a maximum of 12 cr hrs.
