From the battlefield to ultra-religious communities, from dancing gangsters to secret agents, we'll analyze how Israeli films represent Israeli life and society, screening a series of a great films from the 1930s to the present. All films have English subtitles, no familiarity with Hebrew or Israel expected. This course will be taught asynchronously online.
