Curious to explore the rich cultural traditions of Islam and the Arab world beyond the headlines and politics? The Near Eastern and South Asian Languages & Cultures department invites you to join us for an interactive workshop on Arabic calligraphy. All materials will be provided as you learn this beautiful and time-honored art form.

The workshop will be led by Dr. Muhammad Habib, a preceptor of Arabic at Harvard University. Dr. Habib studied calligraphy at the Calligraphy Institute of Cairo and has led similar workshops at universities across the United States.

Space is limited for this hands-on workshop—registration is required to reserve your spot.

This event is co-sponsored by the Middle East Studies Center, University Libraries, the Office of Outreach and Engagement, and the Center for Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
